Civilian killings in IIOJK a ploy to defame Kashmiris’ freedom struggle

Srinagar, October 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) and Jammu and Kashmir National Front while voicing concern over the continued bloodshed of innocent civilians and non-locals in the territory have termed it a deep-rooted conspiracy to defame the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement.

The DFP spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said the ongoing bloodshed in IIOJK is a handiwork of the Indian secret agencies that are hell bent on destroying the communal harmony in the territory. He said Kashmir’s recent history was full of such bloody incidents in which Indian armed forces and other law agencies were found directly involved in the gruesome killings of innocent Kashmiris.

“What is happening in the Kashmir Valley right now is in fact an action replay of the horrendous incidents of mass killings that took place in Chattisinghpora, Pathribal, and Barakpora”, he said and added that it was high time that the people should remain vigilant of the Indian government’s conspiracies and nefarious designs to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle.

The DFP spokesman said the Kashmiris have generously hosted the Indian labour class that comes to earn livelihood in the Valley. “No such incident took place, no one was hurt even at a time when Kashmiris were killed, beaten, harassed and humiliated in the Indian mainland”, he said, demanding an independent international probe into the dastardly incidents of violence to bring the actual perpetrators to book.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Altaf Hussain Wani, in a statement issued in Islamabad said the ruthless killing of 12 civilians including non-local labourers speaks volumes about the fast-deteriorating human rights situation in IIOJK.

Terming these incidents as a ploy to destroy existing age-old communal harmony, he said that the gruesome murder of local and non-local labourers carried out by the Indian secret agencies under the guise of ‘unknown and unidentified persons’ refer to Narendra Modi’s old playbook of repression and violence aimed at spreading hatred and sowing the seeds of discord amongst the communities in IIOJK.

Indian occupational forces, he said, have the worst track record of killing, maiming and murdering hapless people in the occupied territory. Citing India’s present day mass radicalization, intolerance and extremism as a grave threat to peace in the region he said, the BJP that thrives on communal politics was remorselessly using its divisive policies to push forward its Hindutva agenda in IIOJK.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, in a statement issued in Islamabad condemned the Indian troops and police personnel for killing, arresting and inflicting untold miseries on the people of IIOJK. He appealed to the United Nations Secretary General and the world community to impress upon India to stop its state terrorism in IIOJK and settle the Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolutions.
