Civil Society Protests Against Banned Group in Azad Jammu and Kashmir


Muzaffarabad: Civil society in Azad Jammu and Kashmir organized protest rallies against the anti-state activities of the proscribed Action Committee in Mirpur District and Leepa Valley. The rallies featured strong public opposition to the group’s activities, with participants chanting slogans against the committee.



According to Radio Pakistan, representatives from civil society warned the public not to be misled by the banned group. Speakers at the rallies emphasized that attempts to undermine peace and stability in the region had been thwarted. They highlighted that the public had firmly rejected the protest agenda of the outlawed committee.



The gatherings also included expressions of support for Pakistan and the Pakistan Army, with slogans such as ‘Kashmir banay ga Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistan Army zindabad’. Civil society members called for a boycott of the outlawed committee and stressed the importance of resolving issues through constitutional and legal means. They noted that the activities of the banned organization were harmful to national stability and had been rejected by the people of the region.
