Civil Society Activists Decry Conditions in Kashmir Under Indian Control

Srinagar: The situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has drawn severe criticism from civil society activists, who describe the conditions as a severe imposition on the local population by the Indian military forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, activists have vehemently criticized the deployment of over one million Indian troops in the region, accusing them of human rights violations and asserting a governance model that operates with complete impunity.

Despite the heavy military presence and ongoing occupation, the resolve of the Kashmiri people remains strong. Activists contend that the policies of Prime Minister Modi have not succeeded in suppressing the Kashmiris’ ongoing fight for independence.

The activists are calling for international accountability for the Indian leadership, asserting that global inaction has only served to intensify the oppression within Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They urge the international community to recognize and support the Kashmiris’ struggle for their fundamental rights and freedom.
