Islamabad, Sun Weidong, the Vice Foreign Minister of China, arrived in Islamabad today for a significant visit, which includes attending the 4th meeting of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Joint Working Group on International Cooperation and Coordination.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting, scheduled for tomorrow in Islamabad, will be co-chaired by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi and Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong. This gathering is expected to further discussions on the CPEC, a major project under the Belt and Road Initiative, which is a cornerstone of the strategic cooperation between China and Pakistan.
During his visit, Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong is also slated to meet with senior Pakistani leadership. The visit underscores the close ties between the two countries and their commitment to advancing mutual interests through the CPEC framework.
