Islamabad: Premier Li Qiang of China is set to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow for a bilateral visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The visit coincides with the Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), hosted by Islamabad.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Premier Li, accompanied by a delegation of ministers and senior officials from the Chinese Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the China International Development Cooperation Agency, will engage in extensive discussions with Pakistani leaders. The talks will focus on all aspects of the Pakistan-China relationship, emphasizing economic, trade ties, and cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The agenda for the visit includes meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, parliamentary leaders, and senior military officials, highlighting the comprehensive and multifaceted dialogue anticipated during this visit. Additionally, discussions will address key regional and global developments.
Premier Li’s visit underscores the significant value both nations place on their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. It is expected to further solidify mutual support on core issues, advance the high-quality development of CPEC, and enhance regular exchanges on crucial regional and global matters.
