Islamabad, The involvement of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Islamabad’s Pakistan Day military parade underscores the profound and unique relationship between China and Pakistan. This collaboration is seen as a milestone in the continuing development of the partnership between the two nations and their armed forces.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian highlighted the significance of the PLA Guard of Honor delegation’s participation in the event during a regular press briefing in Beijing. This participation, initiated at the invitation of the Pakistani military, marked the 84th Pakistan Day and was portrayed as a testament to the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and the iron-clad friendship between China and Pakistan. Lin expressed China’s sincere wishes for Pakistan’s continued national development and progress.
In addition to addressing the military parade participation, Spokesperson Lin Jian also commented on the ongoing China-India boundary dispute, specifically regarding Arunachal Pradesh. Lin reiterated China’s stance that the boundary between China and India has never been officially demarcated, emphasizing that the region known as Zangnan in the eastern sector has always been under Chinese territory, despite India’s illegal occupation and the subsequent establishment of “Arunachal Pradesh.” Lin affirmed that China’s position on this matter remains unchanged, denouncing India’s actions as illegal and null.
The PLA’s participation in the Pakistan Day parade not only symbolizes the strength and depth of the China-Pakistan friendship but also adds a new chapter to the rich history of interactions between the two countries and their militaries. This event reflects the mutual support and cooperation that define the relationship between China and Pakistan, further enhancing their strategic partnership.
