Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed support for a Chinese company’s proposal to enhance Pakistan’s grain storage infrastructure, aiming to modernize and foster commercial growth in the agriculture sector. According to Radio Pakistan, the announcement came during a meeting with FAMSUN’s CEO, Jack Chen, in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister emphasized the enduring friendship and economic collaboration between Pakistan and China, highlighting the importance of business-to-business cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties. He also noted the significance of integrating skills training for Pakistan’s workforce in such initiatives.

Jack Chen, representing the Chinese firm, expressed gratitude for the hospitality and reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s food security through state-of-the-art storage facilities and technology transfer. FAMSUN, a prominent player in agriculture and food processing in China, seeks to contribute to Pakistan’s agricultural advancement.
