Beijing: In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, China has expressed its willingness to play a mediating role to ease the situation. Lin Jian, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, stated on Wednesday that China is prepared to collaborate with the international community in promoting peace and stability in the region.
During a press briefing, Lin addressed concerns about the recent increase in hostilities. He conveyed China’s regret over India’s recent military operation, emphasizing the country’s position on the matter. Lin highlighted the geographical and diplomatic proximity of China with both India and Pakistan, underscoring China’s vested interest in a peaceful resolution.
