Beijing, China has reiterated its steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its pursuit of economic development, progress, and prosperity.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this assurance was conveyed by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong during the recent inauguration of the CPEC Corner at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ library. Sun emphasized that China values Pakistan as an “iron brother” and a “trusted friend” in its foreign policy and is keen on deepening the strategic ties between the two nations.

Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, speaking at the event, highlighted the critical role of the Pakistan-China relationship in maintaining regional peace and stability. He expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to broaden and fortify bilateral cooperation across various sectors, noting the widespread political, institutional, and public support for this friendship within Pakistan.

The event and the statements from both countries’ representatives underscore the strong and continuing partnership between China and Pakistan, particularly within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
