Islamabad, In a significant step toward improving disaster management capabilities, Pakistan will deploy advanced disaster risk simulation and early warning forecast systems in its northern mountainous regions. This initiative, resulting from a collaboration between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, aims to enhance disaster resilience in these vulnerable areas.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement between the two entities focuses on bolstering the infrastructure needed to manage disasters effectively, particularly in Pakistan’s northern mountainous regions where the risk of natural calamities is higher.
The deployment of these systems is expected to provide timely and accurate forecasts, enabling better preparedness and response strategies in the face of potential natural disasters. This collaboration marks a crucial development in the ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property in one of the most disaster-prone areas of Pakistan.
