China-Pakistan Talks Amid Tensions with India


Islamabad: The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, to discuss the tense situation following what Pakistan describes as India’s aggression against its sovereignty. The discussions emphasized regional security and the need for ongoing communication between the two countries.



During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar briefed Ambassador Jiang on the gravity of the situation, highlighting what he termed as India’s unprovoked violation leading to the tragic loss of innocent lives. He reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and territorial integrity.



Both officials exchanged views on the recent developments in regional security. They agreed on the importance of maintaining close coordination and communication across all relevant areas to manage the situation effectively.



The meeting underscores the collaborative relationship between China and Pakistan, particularly in times of regional tension. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reported on the meeting, reflecting the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
