Karachi, China has expressed strong opposition to the use of double standards in counterterrorism efforts, emphasizing that terrorism is a shared enemy of humanity. This statement comes in response to recent revelations about India’s alleged support for terrorist activities in Balochistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning addressed these concerns in her regular weekly briefing. Her comments followed the surrender of a commander from the Baloch National Army to the Pakistani government, who reportedly disclosed India’s covert backing of separatist forces and terrorist activities in Balochistan.
Mao Ning highlighted China’s stance on bolstering counterterrorism cooperation globally to combat all forms of terrorism. She condemned the strategy of supporting and utilizing terrorist groups for selfish national interests, warning that such actions compromise international and regional security and are ultimately self-defeating.
The spokesperson’s statement aligns with reports in the foreign media, which have quoted Balochistan government officials. These reports suggest that India’s support and use of terrorists are key factors contributing to the escalation of terrorist activities in the province. China’s firm stance against double standards in counterterrorism reflects its commitment to maintaining regional stability and security.
