Islamabad, In a meeting today with Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in regional peace and counter-terrorism.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance bilateral defense cooperation. Weidong recognized Pakistan’s contributions to regional stability and conveyed China’s satisfaction with the security arrangements for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
In response, the Army Chief thanked the Chinese Vice Foreign Minister for his supportive remarks and reaffirmed the strong relations between Pakistan and China, which are rooted in a shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
