China Approves Security Measures for Nationals in Pakistan, Reinforcing Bilateral Ties


Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi affirmed the Pakistani government’s commitment to the security of Chinese personnel involved in development projects during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong at the Chinese Embassy today. The discussion highlighted ongoing efforts to protect Chinese engineers and staff, particularly those working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other initiatives.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi outlined the establishment of a special protection unit (SPU) dedicated to the safety of foreign nationals in Islamabad, reflecting the depth of Pakistan’s dedication to its partnership with China. He emphasized that the Pakistani government would not allow any disruption in the “eternal friendship” between the two nations. The Chinese Ambassador, Jiang Zaidong, expressed satisfaction with the security measures, further solidifying the strong bilateral relations. Their dialogue also touched upon the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to China, underscoring the strategic alignment and mutual support between the two countries.
