Chief Minister Punjab and Governor discuss different matters

Lahore, June 21, 2021 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar held a meeting with Governor Punjab Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar at Governor’s House on Friday and discussed matters of mutual interest. Governor Ch. Sarwar congratulated the CM for presenting a balanced budget while the chief minister appreciated the efforts made by the governor for the provision of clean drinking water to the citizens under the platform of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority. Both expressed satisfaction over decreasing the ratio of positive corona cases and asked the citizens to continue following SOPs. It was further decided to take steps for overcoming the shortage of corona vaccine while continuing to jointly serve the masses.

The CM said conspiratorial politics of the opposition has failed and the government will continue to counter the negative politics with an agenda of public service. No hindrance in the agenda of providing relief to the masses will be tolerated; he said and vowed that the anarchistic designs will never be fulfilled. The era of jugglery and self-projection is over and the government is fully focused to serve the citizens with diligence, he repeated. Meanwhile, a historic annual development program has been announced to enter into the new era of development as balanced funds have been reserved for every area, he further said.

Governor Chaudhary Sarwar said the district development package is a wonderful step as every stratum has been given relief in the provincial budget. Public service is a collective purpose, he said and regretted the opposition has confronted the government from day one and faced defeat. Opposition parties should work for the larger public interest, the governor suggested.
