Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the newly upgraded Mazar Bibi Pak Daman, a significant religious site in the region. The project, which was completed in a record time, included extensive enhancements to the complex.
According to Punjab Portal, the upgradation involved expanding the complex and installing a golden latticework on the Mazar, which now features three green domes, wooden arches, and high-quality floor tiles. The ceremony was attended by Ulama-e-Karam, Provincial Ministers, and other dignitaries. A collective prayer for well-being was offered following the inauguration.
Chief Minister Naqvi, along with Ulama-e-Karam and Provincial Ministers, visited the Mazar, offered Fateha, and prayed for the country’s progress and integrity. Appreciating the high-quality construction, Naqvi commended Nayar Ali Dada for the Mazar’s design and announced plans to widen the entry passage from Empress Road to facilitate easier access for pilgrims.
During his interaction with local residents and pilgrims at the shrine’s entrance, Naqvi received accolades for the successful completion of the project. He expressed his satisfaction with the construction work, attributing it to the efforts of the C and W Department and Secretary Auqaf, who united Ulemas from various schools of thought to address grievances related to the project.
The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of Mazar Bibi Pak Daman in Pakistan’s historical buildings and announced upcoming improvements, including a direct link to Empress Road to ease travel for visitors. Naqvi also mentioned ongoing work on the extension project of Data Darbar Mazar, expressing hope for its inauguration before the end of his tenure.
The event was attended by key figures such as Provincial Ministers Dr. Jamal Nasir, Dr. Javed Akram, Azfar Ali Nasir, Ibrahim Murad, Provincial Advisor Wahab Riaz, the Chief Secretary, IG Police, SMBR, Secretaries of various departments, Commissioner Lahore, CCPO, CTO, and other officials.
