Lahore, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif recently extended her congratulations to the newly-elected office-bearers of the Association of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors. During her address, she emphasized the government’s dedication to the welfare of journalists and highlighted the pivotal role of media in shaping public consciousness.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Chief Minister expressed her expectations that the new officials would effectively address social issues within democratic norms. The officials recognized included President Azhar Abbas, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Vice President Muhammad Usman, and Secretary General Tariq Mehmood among others. She affirmed that the elected representatives would contribute positively towards the media’s role in society.
