Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Inspects Lahore Ring Road Project, Urges Swift Completion

Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the rapid completion of the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop-3 (SL-3) project during her early morning inspection. She also instructed officials to commence preparations for the construction of the Ring Road’s Southern Loop-4 (SL-4), extending from Maraka to the Sharqpur Interchange on M3.

According to Directorate General Public Relations – Govt of Punjab, the Chief Minister’s visit covered the entire stretch from Ada Plot to Maraka on Multan Road, highlighting the project’s significance in facilitating smoother travel for the public. She directed the planting of local saplings at the Lahore Ring Road Interchange on Multan Road as part of the project’s environmental considerations.

Officials briefed her on the details of the Southern Loop-3, which spans 8.8 kilometers and is designed to provide an alternate route for traffic from South Punjab, enabling it to bypass the city center. The presence of Provincial Minister for C and W Sohaib Ahmed Malik, Former Senator Pervaiz Rashid, the Chief Secretary, Secretary C and W, Commissioner, FWO authorities, and other relevant officers underscored the importance of the project and the government’s commitment to its timely execution.
