Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Initiates Development Projects in Sargodha, Emphasizes Healthcare and Police Reforms

Lahore, In an immediate follow-up to the first provincial cabinet meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif conducted a comprehensive visit to Sargodha, marking a significant step towards healthcare and policing improvements in the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Chief Minister Sharif’s visit to Sargodha was packed with crucial site inspections and announcements that promise to elevate the standard of public services in Punjab. One of the highlights of her visit was the review of the proposed site for the Sargodha Institute of Cardiology on Faisalabad Road, where she directed officials to complete the institute within one year. The institute is set to include advanced medical facilities such as a cardiology ward, cath lab, and specialized wards for critical care.

Continuing her tour, Chief Minister Sharif made an unannounced visit to the Sargodha Model Police Station and the District Headquarters Hospital, where she interacted with the public and healthcare staff, offering assurances of her government’s dedication to service improvement. Her surprise visit to the hospital drew hundreds of citizens, showcasing the community’s support and enthusiasm for her leadership.

The Chief Minister’s directives were clear and focused on enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of essential services. She emphasized the importance of public transportation accessibility for the upcoming hospital and announced the upgrade of the Sargodha DHQ Hospital to better serve the community’s needs.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Sharif’s visit to the Sargodha Sadar Police Station highlighted her commitment to reforming the police service, ensuring a responsive and community-friendly approach to law enforcement. Her interaction with the staff at the Victim Support Center underscored the provincial government’s resolve to address gender-based violence and support victims effectively.
