Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Emphasizes Iqbal’s Vision for Youth on Iqbal Day.


Lahore: “I will become a servant of the one…” God’s servants will be loved.” Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed these thoughts in her message on Iqbal Day, emphasizing the need to pay tribute to the thought and vision of Allama Iqbal. She highlighted that Iqbal’s message focuses on self-consciousness and awareness, stressing the importance of enlightening the young generation with Iqbal’s thought.



According to Chief Minister of Punjab, Allama Iqbal’s poetry is a significant and enduring contribution to the Urdu language, with Persian Kalam serving as a prime example. She stressed the necessity of integrating Iqbal’s works more thoroughly into the educational curriculum. On Iqbal Day, poets are encouraged to embrace the thought of the East and work towards elevating Pakistan. The Chief Minister remarked that following Iqbal’s teachings and thoughts is the most fitting way to demonstrate devotion to him.



Allama Iqbal’s message of unity was pivotal for the Muslims of the subcontinent, as he raised awareness of two nationalities through his poetry. This thought-provoking work instilled a profound sense of character among the youth of the subcontinent, transforming them into a dynamic and awakened nation. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also mentioned that her favorite poems include themes of supporting the poor and loving the sick and the weak. She concluded her message with prayers for the children.
