Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Commemorates Kashmir Exploitation Day with Strong Message

Lahore: In a poignant address on Kashmir Exploitation Day, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid tribute to the resilience and sacrifices of the people of Occupied Kashmir, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering support for their cause. Her statement comes amid ongoing tensions and human rights concerns in the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Sharif expressed deep solidarity with the Kashmiri people, marking the anniversary of August 5, 2019, when India imposed severe restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir. “Salutations to every martyr of Occupied Kashmir,” Sharif said, also extending her regards to “every oppressed and besieged Kashmiri,” particularly saluting the mothers, sisters, and sons enduring hardships under occupation.

Sharif criticized the international community’s passive stance towards the Kashmir issue, questioning, “How long will the world sit with its eyes closed, how long will Kashmiris continue to suffer oppression and brutality?” She highlighted the indomitable spirit of the Kashmiri people, whose “eternal sacrifices against the illegal and usurping rule of India will bear fruit.”

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment, Sharif stated, “Pakistan will continue to raise the voice of Kashmiris at all forums of the world.” She stressed that “sustainable peace, stability, development, and prosperity are possible in South Asia only with a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue,” and declared, “Every Pakistani’s heart beats with Kashmiri brothers. We are and will remain with our Kashmiri brothers.”
