Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Orders Probe into Alleged Torture and Theft Confession by Police

Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered an investigation into allegations that officers from the Shafiqabad police station in Lahore extracted a confession of theft from a boy through torture.

According to Chief Minister of Punjab, a report on the incident has been requested from the Inspector General of Police, and legal actions have been mandated without discrimination. The directive reflects a commitment to address concerns over police conduct and uphold justice.
