Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Inspect Child Emergency Services at Mayo Hospital

Lahore, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif conducted a detailed inspection of the Children’s Emergency Block at Mayo Hospital, examining various departments and interacting with the parents of patients to gather feedback on the services provided.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the visit included a tour of the triage area, nursing rooms, and the neonatal block pharmacy, where the leadership was briefed by Child Life Foundation’s administrator, Bushra Abbas. The discussions highlighted the admissions, diagnostics, and treatment protocols in place, aiming to elevate the standards of pediatric care.

Following the visit, a strategic meeting was convened to deliberate on broad improvements across Punjab’s child emergency services, including extending OPD hours and ensuring the availability of essential vaccines. The initiative underscores a commitment to enhancing healthcare access and quality for the youngest patients, reflecting an urgent need to upgrade facilities and work ethics in government-operated entities.
