Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif fulfilled the wish of visually impaired villager Muhammad Ali by gifting him a new car. Muhammad Ali, who is known for his roles as a blind cricketer, orator, and Hafiz of the Quran, had previously expressed his desire for a vehicle during a meeting with the Chief Minister. In an act of personal engagement, Ms. Nawaz Sharif handed over the car keys to Mr. Ali, opened the car door herself, and assisted him into the seat.
According to Chief Minister of Punjab, Muhammad Ali, who utilizes Google Assistant to navigate his mobile phone, is also recognized for his expert commentary on cricket and his work as a unique vlogger and YouTuber. During the car presentation, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz inquired about Ali’s feelings, to which he responded with gratitude, likening her to a maternal figure. Muhammad Ali, a staunch supporter of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), expressed his appreciation for the Chief Minister’s gesture, highlighting her empathy and understanding.
Ali’s father, Riaz Hussain, worked as a private driver in Karachi, and his brother Kamil Abbas, along with friends, accompanied him during the gift presentation. The act of granting the car was seen as a fulfillment of an “innocent wish,” which Ali had conveyed to the Chief Minister weeks earlier. Alongside expressing his joy, Ali shared his emotional connection to Ms. Nawaz Sharif, further solidifying his support for her and the party.
