Quetta: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chaired a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to review the law and order situation, particularly focusing on a recent incident in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung. The meeting brought together senior officials to deliberate on security measures and the coordination between various law enforcement agencies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session included briefings from the IG Police Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, and the Director General of the Levies Force, Naseebullah Khan, about the Mastung incident. Chief Minister Bugti has directed the Additional Chief Secretary Interior to visit the site with the commissioner and furnish a comprehensive report. He emphasized the necessity of strict adherence to standard operating procedures during officer transportation and ordered an assessment of current security policies.

Chief Minister Bugti expressed his resolve to counteract terrorism by enhancing the capabilities of local police and Levies forces, asserting that the forces will be equipped with necessary tools, including equipment, weapons, and vehicles. He stressed that the incident would be thoroughly investigated, and the perpetrators would face severe consequences, reinforcing his commitment to holding every drop of the martyrs’ blood accountable.

The meeting also addressed the role of social media in security matters, with directives to monitor and control anti-state activities online to prevent its use as a platform for terrorism. Chief Minister Bugti reiterated that the fight against terrorism is a collective effort involving every segment of society and not just a task for the army or government leaders.
