Chief Minister Balochistan Spearheads Medical Initiatives with Indus Hospital

Islamabad, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, engaged in pivotal discussions with a delegation from Indus Hospital focused on enhancing healthcare services in Balochistan. The meeting, part of ongoing efforts to improve medical facilities, highlighted the potential upgrades and expansion of services at the China-Pakistan Friendship Hospital in Gwadar and other regional projects.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the discussions revolved around the immediate activation of the China-Pakistan Friendship Hospital, designed to serve the Gwadar region but facing operational delays. The Chief Minister directed swift removal of any obstacles hindering the hospital’s full functionality.

Furthermore, the Indus Hospital delegation briefed on the “Health on Wheels” initiative, which aims to extend mobile healthcare services across four districts in Balochistan, namely Jafarabad, Jhal Magsi, Sahabpur, and Nokundi. The Chief Minister endorsed this initiative, instructing that similar services be launched immediately in Dera Bugti district, with comprehensive support from the provincial government.

The meeting also covered the utilization of experiences from Indus Hospital to boost medical facilities in Sui and Bekar, Dera Bugti. Chief Minister Bugti offered the use of his personal residence in Bekar to facilitate the administration of Indus Hospital, ensuring enhanced healthcare access to the local population.
