Chief Commissioner and IGP Islamabad Focus on Police Welfare During Dispensary Visit


Islamabad: Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf and IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Police Lines Headquarters Dispensary to assess the medical facilities available to police personnel and their families. The visit emphasized the importance of quality healthcare services and welfare initiatives for the police force.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, AIG Logistics briefed the officers about the dispensary’s medical facilities, highlighting the inclusion of specialist doctors to enhance healthcare quality. The briefing underscored ongoing reforms aimed at aligning treatment systems with modern standards to ensure timely medical care.



During the visit, the Chief Commissioner and IGP reviewed various sections of the dispensary, such as the pharmacy, laboratory, and emergency unit. IGP Rizvi instructed officers to prioritize police welfare by utilizing resources for international-standard medical facilities, emphasizing that a healthy force is crucial for effective public service.



The dispensary is equipped with modern medical equipment, and services from general physicians, dental surgeons, and diabetes specialists are available. The IGP reiterated the commitment to improving medical facilities to maintain a capable and energetic police force.



At the visit’s conclusion, the officers appreciated the dispensary staff’s performance and discussed potential enhancements for additional facilities. Furthermore, IGP Rizvi held an open court, addressing concerns of citizens and police officers, and instructed prompt resolutions to ensure transparent and merit-based handling of issues.
