Chaudhry Salik Hussain Strengthens International Labor Commitments at Pakistan Mission in Geneva

Geneva: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, visited the Pakistan Mission in Geneva to discuss advancements in international labor standards and strengthen global partnerships. During his visit, Hussain met with Ambassador Bilal Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

According to Press Information Department, Hussain was briefed on the mission’s objectives, activities, and achievements. Ambassador Ahmad commended Hussain for his role in enhancing Pakistan’s involvement with the International Labour Organization (ILO). The Federal Minister’s visit also marked the ratification of three key ILO conventions, aimed at improving labor standards and reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to its international obligations.

The discussions focused on fostering international cooperation and protecting the rights of overseas Pakistanis. Hussain’s efforts were highlighted as instrumental in advancing Pakistan’s global engagements and ensuring the rights of its overseas citizens are protected and promoted. He expressed satisfaction with the progress, stating his visit further solidified Pakistan’s dedication to international cooperation.
