Karachi: A recent survey by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan reveals that among Pakistani users of AI chatbots, ChatGPT is the most widely used platform, with 66% of respondents citing it as their preferred tool. According to Gilani Research Foundation, the survey highlights that Microsoft Copilot and Google Bard/Gemini follow with 23% and 17% usage respectively.

The survey, conducted with a nationally representative sample of 787 adult Pakistanis who have used AI chatbots, asked participants which platforms they have engaged with. While ChatGPT leads significantly, alternative platforms like Microsoft Copilot and Google Bard/Gemini show a considerably lower reach among users. A smaller percentage of respondents reported using other AI tools such as Alexa and Siri.

The findings underscore a concentrated use of a few major AI chatbot platforms among Pakistani users, with ChatGPT maintaining a dominant position. The survey, conducted from January 15 to February 3, 2026, employed telephonic surveys as its methodology and has an error margin of approximately ± 2-3 percent at a 95% confidence level.
