Charred body of youth recovered in Kokarnag, Kashmir

Srinagar, September 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): A charred body of a Kashmiri youth, martyred by Indian troops, was found in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The body was recovered in Gadool area of the district where a massive cordon and search operation continued on the fifth consecutive day on Sunday.

The Indian troops used drone missiles, rockets and other latest weapons during operation. Top officials said that the identity of the deceased person was not immediately ascertained.

The massive operation in Kokernag area of the district started on Wednesday when an Indian Army Colonel Manpreet Singh (CO 19RR), Major Ashish Dhonchak and Deputy Superintendent of Task Force Humayun Butt and a soldier were killed and several others were injured during a clash.

Meanwhile, an Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was injured who was an integral part of the Road Opening Party (ROP) engaged in the Indian forces’ operation in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district.
