Chaman: In a recent health initiative, Afghan refugee children at Chaman’s Bab-E-Dosti holding camps are receiving polio vaccinations before their repatriation to Afghanistan. This effort, directed by Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, aims to safeguard children from the polio virus as they return to their homeland.

The vaccination drive is specifically targeting children of Afghan refugees, addressing a critical public health concern. With polio still a threat in the region, the initiative serves as a preventative measure against potential outbreaks once the children re-enter Afghanistan.

The parents of these children have expressed their gratitude towards the Government of Pakistan for prioritizing their children’s health and well-being. The move is seen as a significant step in the broader goal of polio eradication in the region.
