Chaman Deputy Commissioner Conducts Surprise Visit to DHQ Hospital, Emphasizes Accountability in Healthcare

Chaman: Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmad Bengalzai and Assistant Commissioner Imtiaz Ali Baloch made an unannounced visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chaman, where they inspected the attendance of on-duty doctors and staff, all of whom were found present.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the visit included a briefing from the hospital’s duty doctor on current operations. The DC also reviewed a recently installed complaint system in the emergency ward, which allows patients to directly report grievances to the Deputy Commissioner. The initiative was implemented on his instructions a few days prior.

DC Bengalzai reminded the medical staff of their responsibilities, urging them to prioritize their duties and serve patients with dedication. He stressed that absences and negligence, particularly during night shifts, would not be tolerated, as private clinics and medical stores often remain closed at night. The Deputy Commissioner further highlighted the importance of treating the medical profession as a sacred duty, encouraging staff to perform their work with integrity for the benefit of both their professional and spiritual lives.
