Chaman Authorities Conduct Major Operation Against Cannabis Cultivation

Chaman: In a decisive move to combat drug cultivation, Assistant Commissioner President Imtiaz Ali Baloch, under directives from DC Chaman Habib Ahmed Bangalzai, spearheaded a comprehensive eradication operation against cannabis crops in the district. The day-long operation saw participation from a coalition of local law enforcement and agricultural agencies, utilizing heavy machinery to destroy extensive cannabis fields.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the operation involved officers from FC Levies, Municipal Corporation, Anti-Narcotics, Department of Agriculture, and Excise Anti-Narcotics, along with Naib Tehsildar Chaman Hameed Zehri. The efforts resulted in the complete removal of cannabis crops across various areas, executed without any reported incidents thanks to meticulous planning and coordination by the administration.

Assistant Commissioner Baloch emphasized the strict stance against narcotics cultivation, declaring it a severe crime with heavy penalties. He warned the local populace against engaging in the cultivation of drug-producing crops, urging them to focus instead on cultivating beneficial and nutritious alternatives that contribute positively to the nation. Baloch reiterated the administration’s commitment to safeguarding public health and safety by preventing the proliferation of drug-related activities in the region.
