Multan, In a significant event at Multan Airport, Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani addressed the first batch of Hajj pilgrims, emphasizing the importance of their role as ambassadors of Pakistan during the sacred journey.
According to Press Information Department, Chairman Gilani expressed satisfaction with the improved travel arrangements that now allow a journey from Multan to Madinah in just four hours. He stressed the importance of conducting themselves with respect and order to bring pride to Pakistan. The Chairman also noted the lowered cost of Hajj this year, making it more accessible for 13,000 pilgrims from South Punjab, despite economic challenges.
He urged the pilgrims to pray for the country’s progress and prosperity, especially remembering the soldiers and civilians who have fallen victim to terrorism. Gilani acknowledged the efforts of security agencies like the Airport Security Force and the Federal Investigation Agency in ensuring safe travel for pilgrims. The event concluded with Gilani extending his best wishes for a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey for all pilgrims.
