Chairman Senate of Pakistan Honors 1931 Kashmiri Martyrs in Call for Global Support


Islamabad: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, paid tribute to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, emphasizing their enduring symbolism in the Kashmiri struggle for justice and self-determination. In his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, he highlighted the courage of the 22 Kashmiris who lost their lives outside Srinagar Central Jail, noting their sacrifices as a powerful testament to the Kashmiri people’s resilience.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Jammu and Kashmir, calling for a peaceful resolution to the dispute in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions. He urged the international community to take action on human rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to support justice and peace efforts.



The Chairman Senate expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, reiterating Pakistan’s firm commitment to their struggle for recognized rights on the international stage.
