ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – In a ceremony held at the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani celebrated the milestones of ’10 Years of CPEC’ during the launch of a report titled “Thousands of Miles with CPEC.” The event saw the attendance of key dignitaries, including Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Minister Murtaza Solangi, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, and others.

According to Senate of Pakistan’s press release, the Chairman’s message, read by Mustafa Hayder Sayed, Executive Director of the Pakistan-China Institute, underscored the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and China. He highlighted the significant contributions of Chinese institutions in Pakistan, emphasizing their role in strengthening bilateral relations and fostering people-to-people connections.

Sanjrani praised Chinese President Xi Jinping’s leadership, noting the economic transformation of China under his vision. He remarked that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), with CPEC as a core component, symbolizes the dedication and hard work of both nations, promoting regional connectivity and cooperation.

Reflecting on his recent visit to China, Sanjrani shared his admiration for President Xi Jinping’s principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness in neighborhood diplomacy. He lauded the positive global impact of this policy.

The ’10 Years of CPEC’ report marks a pivotal milestone, detailing the progress and achievements of the initiative. Sanjrani recognized the efforts of all stakeholders and emphasized the importance of transferring industries under CPEC to fully realize its economic potential.

He pointed out the opportunities for Gwadar and the Special Economic Zones along the CPEC routes to host Chinese industries, foreseeing employment and export benefits for Pakistan and cost-effective labor and market access for Chinese companies.
