Chairman Senate Congratulates New Leadership of National Press Club Islamabad


Islamabad: Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has extended congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the National Press Club Islamabad. He conveyed his best wishes to President Abdul Razzaq Sial, Secretary Dr. Furqan Rao, and Vice President Usman Khan of the Democratic Panel.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani praised the National Press Club for its role in promoting free and independent journalism. He emphasized the club’s importance in strengthening democratic values within the country. Gilani expressed hope that the new leadership would address the challenges faced by the journalist community with bold and prudent actions.



Gilani highlighted the importance of free, informed, and responsible journalism for national development and democratic stability. He noted that Parliament has consistently supported the journalist community by enacting legislation to protect their rights and safety. This legislative support, he assured, will continue in the future.
