Skardu: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has voiced deep sorrow over the avalanche on Broad Peak in Skardu, which has resulted in fatalities and left several mountaineers unaccounted for. In response to the incident, he has called for intensified rescue efforts to locate and assist those affected.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani extended condolences to the families of the victims and the citizens of the impacted countries, offering prayers for the deceased and strength for their families. He expressed optimism for the safe return of the missing climbers and urged authorities to ramp up search and rescue operations, employing all available resources.
