Islamabad: Pakistan’s Senate session, led by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has announced a nationwide ‘Day of Gratitude’ to be observed on Friday. This follows key diplomatic breakthroughs, including an anticipated peace agreement between the United States and Iran. The announcement came during discussions on the Federal Budget, as Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim highlighted the significance of such developments in fostering peace and cooperation in the region.

According to Senate of Pakistan, Senator Karim proposed the observance of the Day of Gratitude to recognize the efforts of Pakistan’s political and military leadership in promoting regional and global peace. The proposal received appreciation from Chairman Senate Gilani, who emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace, dialogue, and diplomacy.
