Chairman of Youth Programme Launches Nationwide Policy Consultations


Kohat: Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, initiated nationwide consultations on the National Youth and Adolescent Policy during a session at Kohat University of Science and Technology. Accompanied by Babar Saleem, the Prime Minister’s Youth Coordinator for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan addressed a diverse audience of students, faculty, and other stakeholders.



In his speech, Khan highlighted Pakistan’s foundation on ideological principles and called for unity amidst challenges faced by the nation. He emphasized the historical significance of student-led movements in Pakistan’s creation and praised the resilience of the country’s founders.



Khan also noted Pakistan’s achievements in education and technology, particularly in freelancing, attributing success to initiatives like the laptop scheme and the Punjab Education Endowment Fund. He announced the extension of educational programs nationwide to ensure no child is left behind.



The launch of the National Youth Portal was also announced, offering scholarships, jobs, and training opportunities. Khan stressed the importance of grassroots consultations in developing a youth policy reflective of the country’s diverse needs.



Khan committed to visiting 26 major cities for further consultations, with his team reaching rural areas and community centers. He urged the youth to prioritize education and skills to secure a better future for themselves and the nation.
