Chicago: Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, engaged with Pakistani-American youth at an event in Chicago to discuss youth empowerment, education, and collaboration with the diaspora. The session, held at the Consulate General of Pakistan, included community leaders and representatives from educational institutions and professional networks.

According to Press Information Department, during the event, Chairman Khan met with Consul General Zaman Mehdi to explore ways to strengthen ties with the Pakistani diaspora. The discussions focused on youth empowerment, innovation, and investment. Consul General Mehdi underscored the importance of Pakistan’s young population and encouraged the diaspora’s involvement in building educational and professional connections.

Chairman Khan detailed the government’s vision for youth empowerment through the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, highlighting its four pillars: Education, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Engagement, and Environment. He emphasized flagship initiatives such as the Digital Youth Hub and skills development programs. He called on the diaspora to collaborate with PMYP for expanding opportunities for young Pakistanis.

The event also featured a presentation by the Youth Focal Person of PMYP, outlining current initiatives and exploring collaboration opportunities with the Pakistani-American community and industry partners to enhance skills development and create international career pathways.

The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, fostering dialogue on youth engagement and collaboration. Community representatives presented souvenirs to Chairman Khan, acknowledging his efforts and commitment to empowering the youth of Pakistan.
