Lahore, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, recently addressed the 53rd PN Staff Course at the Pakistan Navy War College, focusing on the strategic roles and challenges faced by the Pakistan Navy in safeguarding national maritime interests.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, during his address, General Mirza highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s crucial role in national defense and its readiness to confront both traditional and non-traditional security challenges effectively. He commended the Navy’s historical valour and sacrifices, reinforcing its significance in maintaining the maritime security of Pakistan.

The Chairman’s visit also included a tribute at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where he laid a wreath and offered Fateha, underscoring the enduring legacy of fallen heroes in inspiring current and future generations of naval officers. Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood, Commandant of the Pakistan Navy War College, received the Chairman upon his arrival.
