Chairman CDA meeting with Emergency Disaster Management, DC Islamabad, Member Planning, SSP Operations and RESCO 1122 Rawalpindi 

Islamabad, October 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chairman and Chief Commissioner of Capital Development Authority Islamabad Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Younis presided over an important meeting at CDA headquarters on Monday. Officers and employees of Emergency Disaster Management including DC Islamabad, Member Planning, SSP Operations, and Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi participated.

Chairman Capital Development Authority Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Younis thanked the teams of Emergency Disaster Management and Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi that as a result of their timely actions, the fire in the shopping mall of Islamabad was brought under control in time and no one was injured. There was no loss of life either.

On this occasion, the officers and employees of Emergency Disaster Management and Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi were encouraged by the chairman CDA and said that certificates will also be distributed among these employees and officers for their excellent performance.

Moreover, it was also decided in the meeting that a committee will be formed which will further improve the emergency services response, similarly instructions were issued by the Chairman CDA to further improve these departments. He issued instructions to the concerned departments and said that all the buildings in Islamabad city which are higher than 50 feet will also be subjected to fire audit.

Apart from this, the orders to equip the emergency disaster management staff with modern equipment were also issued by the Chairman CDA. In this regard, instructions were also issued to the concerned departments to prepare PC One and present it in the next meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that in view of the facilities of the citizens, there should be a single helpline to deal with any emergency so that the citizens do not face any kind of difficulties. In the meeting, Chairman Capital Development Authority Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Yunus issued orders and said that real-time mock exercise of all high-rise buildings in Islamabad should be conducted and teams from all relevant departments should participate in order to increase the emergency response time Can be improved.
