Islamabad, August 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):Capital Development Authority Chairman Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Younis visited Sarai Kharbuza on Saturday. It was built 900 years ago during the Delhi Sultanate. The historic inn was falling into disrepair due to neglect.
To protect this national heritage, Chairman CDA Captain (Retired) Mohammad Usman Yunus directed to form a committee. This committee presented a plan for the renovation of this inn with the support of archaeologists and other experts. Will do. Chairman CDA directed that the project should be completed as soon as possible and opened for tourists.
On this occasion, the chairman CDA was told that this inn was built 900 years ago during the Delhi Empire. Caravans used to stay in this inn during different periods. The Mughal Emperor Jahangir also made reference to his stay at this inn in 1605 in his autobiography Tazak Jahangiri.
