Central Police OFFICE: GHAZI COMMITTEE MEETING HELD, 15 OFFICERS AND OFFICIALS DECLARED GHAZI

Lahore, October 02, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the instructions of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, a meeting of the Ghazi Committee was held at the Central Police Office, in which cases sent from various districts, units and field formations including Lahore were carefully reviewed. The committee after scrutinizing /examining the relevant documents declared 15 officers as Ghazis. ASI Muhammad Ali, Head Constables Muhammad Yousuf, Arshad Ali, Naseer Ahmed, Constables Saqib Razzaq, Muhammad Nafees, Saeed ur Rehman, Mahmood Khan, Asad Ali, Shaukat Ali, Nadeem Abbas, Adeel Nisar, Shahzad Ahmed, Saeed Ahmed, Muhammad Nasir, Asif Ali and Driver Constable Shahzad Khan were declared as Ghari.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Ghazi personnel injured by bullets while protecting the life and property of the citizens are valuable assets of Punjab Police and priority measures will be continued for their best treatment and early recovery. IG Punjab said that the names of Ghazi officers and personnel will be engraved on the Ghazi wall in the Central Police Office. IG Punjab said that the above-mentioned officials were seriously injured in the encounter with terrorists and dacoits while on duty. The brave officials deserve to be declared Ghazis for their exemplary courage, commitment and bravery in the line of duty. Additional IG Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara presided over the Punjab Police Ghazi Committee meeting, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Welfare Naveed Ajmal, AIG Finance Syed Ali, AIG Logistics Ismail Kharak and AIG Discipline Ahsan Saifullah also participated.
