Muzaffarabad: A delegation from the Central Bar Association Muzaffarabad, led by President Nasir Masood Mughal Advocate, engaged with the Prime Minister of Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, at the Prime Minister Secretariat. The meeting included discussions on legal support for the government’s initiatives, the announcement of a new endowment fund, and proposals for interest-free loans and educational scholarships.
According to Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq detailed his administration’s commitment to align with constitutional law and create a welfare state. He highlighted the crucial role of lawyers in safeguarding justice and rights, and urged them to support his government’s policies and to provide constructive feedback. The Prime Minister announced significant financial measures, including a 10 billion rupee endowment fund for the needy, a 5 billion rupee fund for interest-free loans to promote employment, and a 1 billion rupee educational scholarship fund for financially disadvantaged children.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister assured that he would continue his mission of serving humanity and maintaining integrity in handling the state’s resources. He reiterated his dedication to using his position to foster the development and prosperity of Azad Kashmir’s residents. The meeting concluded with the Prime Minister accepting an invitation to visit the Central Bar later in the month, signaling ongoing collaboration between the government and the legal community.
