Islamabad, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has accentuated the critical role of unbiased elections in fortifying democracy in Pakistan. While presiding over a meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Quetta, Raja emphasized the need to appoint non-partisan personnel to polling booths, free from any political affiliations.
He also mandated that officer transfers should strictly adhere to merit, devoid of political influence. The Provincial Election Commissioner informed Raja that the province has over 5.2 million registered voters. These voters will be electing representatives for sixteen National Assembly seats and fifty-one general seats in the provincial assembly.
