Islamabad, May 27, 2022 (PPI-OT):CDA’s administration in collaboration with the district administration, MCI and DHO is working out effective plans for the prevention of dengue and malaria so that there is not much left in providing the best facilities to the citizens. In this regard, tenders worth Rs. 17 million have been published in newspapers for procurement of various modern equipment’s for prevention and treatment of epidemic and purchase of other equipment including spray machine for fogging and spraying of mosquito repellent in the city.
The Health Services Directorate is working on a comprehensive plan to eradicate the virus and its larva under the guidance of the CDA administration. In this regard, Islamabad will be divided into different zones and specially formed teams of Health Services Directorate will also be deployed in each zone.
In addition to routine cleaning of the city, the Sanitation Directorate is conducting special clean-up operations in potential dengue breeding areas to eradicate dengue at its larval stage and to remove weeds and shrubs from these areas. Special teams of environment wing have also been deployed. The CDA administration has also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the organization. Maintain cleanliness of the surroundings and ensure proper drainage to achieve the desired results.
