Islamabad, May 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):Capital Development Authority is taking all possible steps to ensure uninterrupted supply of water in Islamabad city. As a result of these measures, the water supply in the city has improved significantly. According to the details, some time ago only 18 tube wells were operational but due to special interest of CDA management, after installation of 12 new tube wells and rehabilitation of 2 old tube wells, now the total number of tube wells has increased to 32. The long-standing problem of water supply in 10 and I-9 has also been overcome.
Similarly, when these reservoirs of Simli Dam and Rawal Dam are full, Poona Faqir Aan plant water will also be supplied from them. Similarly, ground water pumping through tube wells will be reduced to maintain ground water level so that ground water can be used in emergencies.
It should be noted that long unused water tanks are also being used for storing water. Similarly, pumping time in Sector IT has been increased from 2 hours to 6 to 7 hours. Similarly, water supply in Sector I-11 will be arranged soon in the next few months. On this occasion, the management of Capital Development Authority has also appealed to the citizens to be careful in using water and to avoid wastage of water so that more water can be used by the citizens.
