CDA removes encroachments

Islamabad, October 28, 2022 (PPI-OT): On the direction of Capital Development Authority Chairman Captain (Retired) Muhammad Usman Younis, the Enforcement Department carried out several operations in different areas of Islamabad on Thursday with the support of the district administration and Islamabad Police to eliminate encroachments and illegal constructions.

Several encroachments and illegal constructions were demolished with the help of heavy machinery and 10 truckloads of encroachers’ goods were also seized. According to the details, these operations were started from Islamabad’s Sector H-8 near Shifa Hospital, where dozens of illegal stalls built on the green belt were removed and 5 illegal stalls were also demolished using heavy machinery. 5 truckloads of encroachers were also seized and later the green belt was cleared of all encroachments.

Further, on IJP Road near Turbo CNG, shopkeepers had occupied the road by setting up mixing machines, which was affecting the flow of traffic. 1 truckload of equipment was also confiscated. Later, the pits were dug with the help of an excavator machine so that the shopkeepers could not park the machines again.

Apart from this, vigorous action was taken by the enforcement department against the showroom owners in the center of Sector G-8 of Islamabad and all the vehicles parked on the public thoroughfares including the footpath were removed and the people of the public thoroughfare including the footpath were removed. Opened to the public. Similarly, in the G-8 center, strong actions were also taken against the hotel owners and by clearing the sit-out area built on the government land, the occupation attempt was thwarted.

Operations against the occupation mafia were also carried out in Islamabad’s Sector I-10/3 auto market, as a result of which, one illegal junkyard, including one selling illegal chemical materials, was also demolished with the help of heavy machinery. And government land was given away. It should be noted that the work of horticulture has been started immediately by the Environment Wing on the allotted government land.

On this occasion, Chairman CDA Captain (Retd) Muhammad Usman Yunus said that the protection of government land is our first priority and no exception will be taken from the occupation mafia and the aim of these measures is to protect Islamabad from illegal constructions and encroachments.
